Famous people afflicted with TB
Compiled By Dr.
Abdullah Jan Pathan
TB has never been a respecter of fame or future. From
politicians to philosopher, from kings to courtesans, from painters to priests, from physicians to
musicians, from saints to sinners, from prophets to pagans, has spared nobody.
To collect authentic name several organizations and
researchers were contacted globally but only a few responded but they responded
well. To do justice to them I feel it necessary to publish all lists with their
names. Most of the famous names, obviously are contained in every list and hence
duplications which may kindly be ignored

- Jesus
Christ
Text book of Tuberculosis, on page
3 it's mention that there is a folio at Leipzig Library (Eastern Germany)
which contains a reference about Jesus Christ that he had suffered from
pulmonary Tuberculosis. To confirm it I wrote to all libraries and Leipzig, Church
of England, Church of America, Vatican and various other Christian luminaries decide
religious scholars but they felt to respond to my query
only reply that i got was one from who representative in India, confirming that Dr. K.N Rao and all his Co-Authors were dead and the said Text Book on
Tuberculosis was out of print.
Mr.
Andrew J. Keck from Duke libraries Leipzig was the only person who replied
that: I am not aware of any evidence or research that suggest that
Jesus suffered from Tuberculosis. Perhaps somebody has somewhere suggested
this idea but i cannot seem to find any mention of it. A possible point of
confusion are people such as saints Therese of Lisieux who is sometimes known
as "Therese of the child Jesus", The Little Flower, or The Little
Flower of the Jesus. Saint Therese died of Tuberculosis. Perhaps there are
others that I have the name of 'Jesus' that also had TB.
